WowKeren - Berbagai macam kejutan menyertai pelaksanaan Grammy Awards 2012. Selain diwarnai oleh insiden kematian diva Whitney Houston menjelang hari H, ajang penghargaan ini sekaligus menjadi malam kemenangan bagi Adele. Gadis berusia 23 tahun itu total menyabet enam trofi sekaligus!

Adele menang di kategori unggulan seperti Record of The Year, Album Terbaik, Lagu Terbaik, Penampilan Solo Terbaik, Album Pop Terbaik, serta Video Musik Pendek Terbaik. Semua penghargaan itu diraihnya berkat album "21" beserta lagu-lagu yang ada didalamnya seperti "Someone Like You" dan "Rolling In The Deep".

Selain Adele, musisi yang juga memboyong lebih dari dua trofi adalah Foo Fighters dan Kanye West. Jika Foo Fighters memborong empat trofi di kategori musik rock, maka Kanye unggul di kategori musik Rap.

Album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" Kanye ditahbiskan sebagai Album Rap Terbaik. Sedangkan lagu "All of The Lights" yang dinyanyikannya bersama Rihanna, Kid Cudi dan Stacy Ferguson (Fergie) menyabet habis dua kategori, Kolaborasi Rap Terbaik dan Lagu Rap Terbaik.

Menariknya, tidak ada nama Katy Perry, Lady GaGa ataupun Justin Bieber yang digadang-gadang akan keluar sebagai jawara. Padahal ketiga nama ini cukup banyak bertebaran di daftar nominasi.

Nama Bon Iver menjadi sorotan Grammy tahun ini, karena sukses memboyong dua piala di kategori Artis Pendatang Baru dan Album Alternatif Terbaik. Walau tampil menerima trofinya, tapi musisi indie-folk asal Wisconsin, Amerika itu sempat menolak menjadi artis penampil. Alasannya, tidak nyaman dengan penampilan kolaborasi dengan musisi lain yang diajukan pihak penyelenggara.
