WowKeren - Justin Bieber berhasil meraih penghargaan Best New Artist di ajang MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2010 yang digelar di Nokia Theater, Minggu 12 September. Keberhasilan Justin membawa pulang penghargaan tersebut berkat penampilannya di single "Baby" yang dibawakan Justin bersama Ludacris.

Tak hanya Justin yang menuai prestasi, Lady GaGa juga berhasil mendominasi penghargaan di ajang yang dipandu Chelsea Handler itu. Seperti dikutip dari Associated Press, GaGa berhasil memecahkan rekor dan membawa pulang 8 penghargaan sehingga membuatnya menjadi penyanyi kedua setelah grup musik yang dikenal lewat single "Take on Me", a-ha, yang mendominasi penghargaan di ajang MTV VMAs 1986. Hal ini dikonfirmasi secara resmi oleh pihak MTV.

Di tempat kedua setelah GaGa, Eminem berhasil memperoleh dua penghargaan. Sementara untuk di kategori band, grup Muse, 30 Seconds To Mars dan Florence and the Machine berhasil memboyong masing-masing satu penghargaan.
