WowKeren - Taylor Swift berjaya di ajang Teen Choice Awards (TCAs) 2011. Pelantun single "Mean" itu memborong lima penghargaan untuk bidang musik dan satu penghargaan bidang mode. Ia dianugerahi diantaranya Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon, Choice Music: Female Artist dan Choice Music: Female Country Artist.

"Aku sangat bahagia," kata Taylor saat mengucapkan pidato kemenanganya. "Ini adalah pertama kalinya aku berada di Teen Choice Awards dan acara ini luar biasa. Aku ingin berterima kasih pada penggemar. Kalian semua telah membuat hidupku begitu indah dan semua penghargaan ini aku terima karena kalian."

Menyusul setelah Taylor, Selena Gomez, membawa pulang lima penghargaan di TCAs 2011. Aktris serial TV "Wizards of Waverly Place" itu meraih penghargaan diantaranya Choice TV Actress, Female Hottie, Choice Love Song dan penghargaannya bersama The Scene, Choice Music Group, serta Choice Single of the Year lewat single "Who Says".

"Penghargaan ini untuk kalian semua," kata Selena pada para penonton. "Ini bukanlah milikku."

Sementara itu, kekasih Selena, Justin Bieber dianugerahi sejumlah penghargaan. Ia meraih Choice Male Hottie, Choice Music: Male Artist dan penghargaan Choice TV: Villain untuk aktingnya di "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation".

TCAs 2011 juga memberikan penghargaan di bidang film yang diantaranya diraih "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II". Film terakhir kisah "Harry Potter" ini menyabet Choice Movie: Sci-Fi dan Choice Summer Movie. Sementara itu, "Glee" juga meraih penghargaan untuk bidang TV. Sedangkan bintang-bintang yang menyabet penghargaan bidang olahraga yakni Sean White untuk kategori Choice Athlete: Male dan Ellen DeGeneres meraih Choice Comedian untuk bidang khusus.

Teen Choice Awards 2011 disiarkan secara langsung di The Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal City, California, oleh stasiun TV FOX, Minggu, 7 Agustus. Ajang ke-13 ini dipandu bintang serial TV "Big Bang Theory", Kaley Couco.
