WowKeren - Pemenang MTV Movie Awards 2012 baru saja diumumkan. Dalam ajang tersebut, "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" berhasil meraih penghargaan puncak sebagai Film Terbaik tahun ini. Kisah cinta Bella dan Edward itu sukses mengalahkan para pesaingnya seperti "The Hunger Games", "Bridesmaids", "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" dan "The Help".

Saat diumumkan sebagai pemenang, Kristen Stewart dan Taylor Lautner mewakili menerima piala tersebut. Malam itu, Robert Pattinson memang tak bisa hadir karena harus mempromosikan "Cosmopolis".

"Ini sangat berarti bagiku," ujar Kristen. "Kami ingin berterima kasih pada sutradara Bill Condon dan Stephenie Meyer sebagai pengarangnya. Kami sangat tidak sabar menanti film terakhirnya, 'The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II', yang rilis 16 November mendatang," ujar Taylor.

Sedangkan "The Hunger Games" menang besar malam itu. Film bertemakan pertarungan maut ini berhasil memborong 4 piala untuk kategori Best Male Performance (Josh Hutcherson), Best Female Performance (Jennifer Lawrence), Best On-Screen Transformation dan Best Fight.

MTV Movie Awards 2012 digelar di Gibson Amphitheatre, California, Amerika Serikat. Acara yang dipandu Russell Brand itu dihadiri oleh sejumlah bintang diantaranya Charlize Theron, Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg dan Chris Hemsworth.
