Big Bang memborong 4 piala digital sementara EXO 3 piala album fisik.

WowKeren - Ajang penghargaan Gaon K-Pop Chart Awards 2016 digelar pada Rabu (17/2) kemarin. Acara yang dihelat di Olympic Gymnastic Stadium di Olympic Park, Seoul ini dihadiri sederet musisi populer dari Negeri Ginseng.
Gaon K-Pop Chart Awards memberikan penghargaan kepada musisi Korea yang meraih hasil terbaik untuk album fisik dan digital. Seperti telah diprediksi sebelumnya, Big Bang berhasil mendominasi di kategori digital sementara EXO memborong trofi di kategori album fisik.
Dari 12 penghargaan kategori digital yang diberikan, 4 diantaranya diraih oleh Big Bang yang tahun lalu sukses menggemparkan blantika musik K-Pop lewat "MADE Series". Sedangkan EXO membawa pulang 3 dari 4 trofi untuk kategori album fisik.
Sementara itu, Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards 2016 juga dimeriahkan berbagai penampilan para musisi papan atas yang namanya tak asing lagi. Diantaranya adalah Tae Yeon Girls' Generation, Bangtan Boys, Seventeen (II), iKON, Red Velvet dan masih banyak lagi.
