WowKeren - Gelaran penghargaan insan perfilman dunia, Academy Awards ke-89 sukses digelar di Dolby Theatre Los Angeles, California, 26 Februari waktu setempat. Peraih nominasi terbanyak, "La La Land" akhirnya berhasil menjadi pemenang terbesar dengan membawa pulang 6 piala Oscar.

Sebelumnya, film yang dibintangi Emma Stone dan Ryan Gosling ini mendapat total 14 nominasi. Pada akhirnya, "La La Land" berhasil membawa pulang 6 piala Oscar di kategori "Best Production Design", "Best Cinematography", "Best Original Score", "Best Directing", "Best Original Song" dan "Best Lead Actress".

Aktris utama Emma Stone berhasil meraih gelar "Aktris Utama Terbaik" berkat film arahan Damien Chazelle itu. Dia berhasil mengalahkan nama-nama aktris senior macam Isabelle Huppert, Ruth Negga, Natalie Portman dan Meryl Streep.

Gelar "Aktor Utama Terbaik" dimenangkan oleh Casey Affleck berkat aktingnya di film "Manchester by the Sea" yang diproduseri oleh Matt Damon. Kategori bergengsi "Best Picture" akhirnya dimenangkan oleh film "Moonlight".

Ada sedikit kekeliruan saat pembacaan kategori "Best Picture". "La La Land" sempat ditahbiskan membawa pulang piala itu, tapi pada akhirnya kertas pemenang ditunjukkan ke layar monitor dan pemenangnya adalah "Moonlight".
