WowKeren - Label rekaman Universal Music akhirnya membuktikan janji mereka untuk merilis album kompilasi digital demi menggalang dana bagi korban gempa dan tsunami Jepang. Album yang diberi judul "Song For Japan" ini sudah bisa dipesan di iTUnes seharga 9.99 dollar sejak Jumat 25 Maret.

Ada 38 artis solo, grup musik dan band yang terlibat dalam proyek tersebut seperti Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, U2, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Beyonce Knowles, Kings of Leon, Bob Dylan, Eminem dan %Black Eyed Peas%. Keuntungan penjualan itu akan disalurkan sepenuhnya lewat Palang Merah Jepang.

Penentuan untuk merilis secara digital tersebut agar hasilnya bisa langsung terlihat. "Kami merilisnya secara digital karena pengaruhnya lebih cepat dan album kompilasi ini akan dirilis di seluruh dunia," tutur juru bicara Universal Music pada Reuters Canada baru-baru ini.
