WowKeren - The British Academy of Film and Television Arts telah mengumumkan nominasi untuk gelaran penghargaan BAFTA Awards 2022. Daftar nominasi kali ini mencerminkan perubahan kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh organisasi tersebut pada tahun 2021.

Hal itu mengacu pada upaya untuk membuat penghargaan lebih inklusif setelah adanya reaksi keras terhadap nominasi kulit putih dalam kategori utama pada tahun 2020. Oleh sebab itu, daftar kali ini menampilkan kejutan besar seperti Will Smith yang mendapatkan nominasi pertamanya untuk perannya di "King Richard", dan peningkatan jumlah nominasi wanita di beberapa kategori, termasuk Penyutradaraan.

Yang paling menonjol dari nominasi tahun ini adalah film fiksi ilmiah "Dune" karya Denis Villeneuve. Betapa tidak, film itu berhasil menyabet 11 nominasi termasuk Film Terbaik, Skenario Adaptasi, Sinematografi, dan Efek Visual Khusus.
